Sweet girl

I wanted to photograph new Meital a little more simply because she deserves it. To me she is the most wonderful girl in the whole world – and of course to Uncle K as well even though he will never admit it in public ;3 I hope you like the pictures!

In honor of National AIDS Awareness month, we've added a new charitable vgift. For each red ribbon you purchase for $2.99, we'll donate 100 percent of gross proceeds to IAVI.org (the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative) to support the development and global distribution of an affordable HIV vaccine (we'll cover credit card fees). You can read more about IAVI at [info]lj_cares. While we're on the subject, we raised $740 from our November fundraiser for Love Without Boundaries, which supports emergency healthcare and adoption of Chinese orphans. We thank you for helping us help others.

A slim mini sweater-dress prototype! This is the second, refined version. Once I open commission thread on DoA, I'll be offering it in MSD, slim MSD, and SD (Delf girl, SD10 sizes). It's all serged, so all the seams are stretchy (as well as the fabric itself) and can fit a variety of doll bodies. I'm also thinking of offering different length and short or long sleeves.

Hmmm, I think I saw this fabric in hot pink in the store as well... Maybe I should get it? It seems to work nicely for dolls, what do you guys think? :)
2nd-Dec-2009 12:18 pm - MogileFS Maintenance
**EDIT Thu Dec 3 23:24:15 UTC 2009 **

Hey Everyone, we are about to run the last alter job that we need to on our database servers. This will effect userpics / scrapbook / vgift images for the next few hours. Have no fear, your images aren't lost, there is just a really intensive process running on the servers which store the information for mogilefs. Thank you for your understanding and all the LJ love...

Hey LJers,

I just wanted to let you all know that we are going to be performing some mogilefs maintenance over the next few days. We will be upgrading our current version to latest stable as well as changing some db config information to better handle the amount of files we are currently hosting. This shouldn't cause a big impact on site stability, but you may see some minor delays with userpic / scrapbook images appearing or other requests associated with our mogilefs. We would love to not have that happen, but unfortunately with some of the steps we need to take we have to cause a delay with images. I figured this was a better solution than taking down all of LiveJournal because well lets face it, we all need our daily LJ fix ;)

Thanks,

You have to rotate the swich to set the time on it and turn it on and it doesn't have any kind of timer, so how on earth coud it turn on??? CREEPY!
Mom then left the oven's door open (which annoys me because then there will be a light burning inside the oven when it's open) and she closed it at some time while I was in the shower. Just when I came out of the bathroom, mom said that the oven went on again! o___o
2nd-Dec-2009 01:39 pm - I'm back here :)
I'm moved journals some time ago, but now I'm back here :) Thank you, guys, for keeping this journal friended! ^^

A long while back I cleaned up my friends list and edited out the what-seemed-like abandoned journals. I rechecked some today and added back those that still friended me and where there was recent activity. But in case I missed YOURS, please, do let me know :)

I also opened a lot of entries that I posted in the last 2 years, because I feel a lot less like staying in my warm and cozy cocoon lately :)

Vaatteiden teko on kyllä hauskaa näpräystä, esim. vyötärö on noin 7cm xD Virkistävää vaihtelua isommille tekemiseen.

Unoissa on kyllä jotain mikä vetoaa minuun yllättävän paljon.

I’ll concenrate on different kind of crafts from the 1st of December, but before, I finished all my sewing commissions! (Some knitting ones still remain.) I love creating with my hands, but it’s also been nice to get them done! My own dolls have nothing to wear or at least it feels like it, especially the big boys, especially Mirwaise. Luckily I have drafted some new patterns that I can use, making the pattern is the step that I dislike the most. When they are ready, everything feels quite easy…

24th-Nov-2009 12:06 pm - Story of Kaarle

Kaarle borrowing Tommi's hat
Originally uploaded by JohQ
Once, in another world, Kaarle's father Karl cheated the Death himself.
Death got really mad for Karl making fool of him, so he threatened to take his son. He said: "One day your son will serve me. One way or another!"
Karl got scared, and couldn't even think about what Death might have meant. He travelled all around the world with his son, when he finally found what he was looking for. The most powerfull Witch agreed to send Kaarle to another dimension, to hide from Death. But this cost Karl his eye sight, the Witch needed his eyes to search for another world. He couldn't see his son cry when he said goodbye to him.

So now Kaarle is in this strange, cold world. He doesn't have any friends, he doesn't have his father. And still sometimes he can feel Death calling him.

He needs to find someone to call a friend, so he can feel safe.

He went to the customs, but I didn't have to open the package there, so I was pretty excited to open him up! Also for once I didn't have to pay tax from the shipping value! Some people there count the tax from the total amount, but some more intelligent ones understand to take the shipping out of the price!

I didn't have any proper light to take the pics in, so I'm ashamed to post the crappy pictures here, so click the pic and see the rest in my flickr ;)

Now what I need to do is find him a wig and decide what kind of face-up I want for him...
23rd-Nov-2009 01:13 pm - The best fabric ever! + babble

Originally published at Fairchildren . com. You can comment here or there.

The best fabric in the whole world

Spot all the things Ellu loves…yes, there are many. Chandeliers, cats, butterflys, castles, BAMBIS, fairytale stuff – I saw this fabric at Jonna and Tuuli’s place and knew I had to buy some for myself. Now just what to make of this loveliness? Meital gets this, of course ;3 I’m thinking of just simple loli shirt that shows the print with lace or ruffle on the hem, and then cutting off fabric badges from the extras and decorating stuff with them. Like my own bag. I admit, I’m a sucker for these Japanese prints ;_;

I also thought of things and the future of my dolls – since I don’t think I will buy many BJDS in the future anymore, I might start pampering my current ones, and I’m slowly dipping my toe in the thought of “buying hella expensive eyes” such as uretanes from Enchanted Doll. Okay, the thought of buying doll eyes which cost 50+ dollars a pair still makes me cringe, but damn, those milky EID eyes…they ARE worth of that *_* And you’re not paying because they are rare or wanted or popular, you’re paying because they really cost that much, it doesn’t feel so bad. Or does it? Anyway, my hubby said that “well, if they make you happy, 40 euros is not much of happiness” and he’s of course right <3

I started my journey in the land of urethanes by reserving a pair of glimmering black Aamu eyes for Morri, hopefully I'll get them! When I get enough money from my sewing commissions (I've decided that all the money I got from them will go back to this hobby), I'm getting Meital something like these :3

Okay, back to the sewing so I get that money :D

22nd-Nov-2009 05:07 pm - Miio, my boy
I haven't really taken much pictures of this boy, which is a shame since he is so handsome. I love Kyle mold, and AyS series make up is eyecandy. =3=
